# The nf-core framework for community-curated bioinformatics pipelines

> **Preprint:** an earlier version of this work was posted on bioRxiv as [nf-core: Community curated bioinformatics pipelines](https://phil.ewels.co.uk/publications/2019/ewels-biorxiv).

nf-core is a community effort to build and maintain a curated set of bioinformatics analysis pipelines using Nextflow. This paper introduces the framework, describing the guidelines, code templates and tooling that keep nf-core pipelines portable, reproducible and consistent across different compute environments.
